The engine in a beautiful sunroof Coupe had an engine problem less than 1000 miles after its completion. An intake valve guide came loose and contacted the valve head, which resulted in pieces of the guide breaking off and being sucked into the combustion chamber, damaging the piston top and cylinder wall. This incident sparked the development of our WR Valve Guide and Spring Kit. It was also a great opportunity to do a back-to-back test of our new WR Delta Cylinder Head design compared to the older open combustion chamber. The results were impressive, especially the comparison of the single to twin plug performance with the new head design. Pictures detailing the changes will be added soon.
